Frequently Asked Questions

We believe everyone deserves to know their neurotype. Although a diagnosis may or may not change the course of care you already receive, it may help an individual comprehend their differences and difficulties in order to build a positive self-image and improve their self-advocacy skills. A diagnosis may help your child receive more therapy services through insurance and qualify for a school 504 plan.

Call our front desk to be given an evaluation date. We usually are able to schedule right away or have a short waitlist! We do not require referrals to be evaluated.

ADHD reports will be emailed about 2-3 weeks after the evaluation. Autism reports will be sent to families at the follow up visit, which occurs 2-3 weeks after the initial appointment. The results of the test and the diagnosis will be on the report.

Our evaluations are led by a Clinical Psychologist. ADHD evaluations are with our Clinical Psychologist only. Our Autism evaluations are multidisciplinary with an SLP and OT.

Dr. Sparks will provide recommendations for your child. Families are welcome to choose their next steps regarding therapies, who you share the report with, and school assistance. CTS is happy to help with OT or speech therapy.

Anyone is welcome in the evaluation, however, our rooms are not large, and we prefer only immediate family. Siblings are welcome if they will not be a large distraction. Outside providers can join, or they can send Dr. Sparks their input in an email or letter.

Autism evaluations range from 2-4 hours, and ADHD evaluations range from 3-4 hours. The time length may be dependent on your child’s responses to stimuli.

We are only in network with BCBS for these evaluations. Cost depends on deductible and copay allowances on each specific plan.
